Welcome to our latest PIANC A&NZ newsletter for members and colleagues. I want to take this opportunity to thank all the fantastic organisers - and participants - of the Hobart 2019 Coasts and Ports Conference, and our own Crisis Management Seminar.
We look forward to seeing many of you again next June in Fremantle at our brand new Conference series, the PIANC Asia Pacific Conference (APAC). In the meantime please follow us at LinkedIn

PIANC APAC - 16-19 JUNE 2020

PIANC APAC is the new biennial forum for all PIANC members from Asia Pacific and beyond. This new conference series will focus on harbours, ports and recreational boating in the Asia Pacific region.

PIANC APAC 2020 will be held in the vibrant city of Fremantle from 16 - 19 June 2020. Non PIANC members are also welcome.
Registrations open 4 November.

At Hobart's Coasts and Ports Conference, PIANC A&NZ Chair Will Glamore was delighted to present the 2019 Young Author Award to Damon Howe, for his paper and presentation - “Integration of Wave Energy Converters within Floating Offshore Structures.”

PIANC A-NZ Environmental Commission Lead and CEO of NSW Ports, Marika Calfas recently returned from the 51st meeting of PIANC’s EnviCom, held in Lyon. Marika reported a record number of new working groups for the Commission.

PIANC YP AMERICA'S CUP INFRASTRUCTURE TOUR 


On October 16th, 30 young professionals from PIANC A&NZ were hosted by the Wynyard Edge Alliance on a tour of the America’s Cup infrastructure construction project in Auckland.  

The Wynyard Edge Alliance is responsible for delivering the essential infrastructure to host the next America’s Cup.

Established in 1885, PIANC, a non-political and non-profit organisation, continues to be the leading partner for government and the private sector in the design, development and maintenance of ports, waterways and coastal areas.
