San Antonio MGMA chapter.

San Antonio Medical Group Management Association (SAMGMA) is a local chapter of Texas MGMA, which is an affiliate of National MGMA. Texas MGMA membership is required to join SAMGMA.

SAMGMA is a medical practice management professional non-profit association with a mission to foster a collegial approach to healthcare administration, promote our members’ interest and skills in education, networking, and charity. SAMGMA goals are to provide regular education events in the fundamentals of medical practice management, enhance diversity among our membership, and foster leadership.

Focus on Member Participation and Growth

Our educational goals include fostering a collegial approach to medical practice management by promoting our members’ interests and skills. The association assures education in the fundamentals of the American College of Medical Practice Executives Body of Knowledge, which includes various aspects of medical practice management, as well as informing our members of current issues and developments that affect our business. Events include:

  • Member Meetings
  • Breakfast Connections
  • Lunch Connections
  • Education Conference

SAMGMA supports collaboration and collegiality within the business of medical practice management. Members are encouraged to network with their peers and local business associates at SAMGMA events and by volunteering to serve on the following Committees:

  • Education Committee
  • Charity Event Committee
  • Membership/Student Committee

Each year, SAMGMA members come together to help a local non-profit organization, by sponsoring a charity event to support that organization. SAMGMA has supported Teed Off at Cancer/Hope Hits Harder, The Fisher House, and Wings in the past.
