TONIGHT, 5:30 PM: Virtual Holiday Tree Lighting
Livestreamed on Facebook

Please join us on Facebook this year as the Village, the Park District, and the Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce light our holiday tree in celebration of the 10th anniversary of this tradition started by the Chamber of Commerce. Residents are encouraged to light their holiday decorations at 5:45 PM to coincide with the tree lighting tonight, and the Village will record drone footage of the Village lighting up for the holidays. The livestream will begin at 5:30 PM and feature visits from North Pole representatives before Village President Chris Rintz lights the tree. We wish we could celebrate with you in person this year, but please join the festivities online!
COVID-19 Tier 3 Resurgence Mitigations
The State of Illinois has moved to Tier 3 resurgence mitigations to control the spread of the virus. It is of the utmost importance that we each do our part to prevent COVID-19 from spreading in our community by taking the following precautions:
  • wear a mask
  • wash your hands
  • practice social distancing
  • avoid gathering in groups
  • stay home if you have symptoms.
View Tier 3 COVID-19 mitigation information on the State of Illinois' website. The Village of Winnetka relies on the Cook County Department of Public Health and the State of Illinois for case statistics.
