 Alert from the Winnetka Police Department: Increase in Scam Calls Reported
The Winnetka Police Department has become aware of multiple recent incidents in which scam callers who claimed to be representing ComEd called residents demanding payment on a past due balance and threatened to turn off their electric service if they did not make payment immediately. The Village of Winnetka and ComEd will never make calls of this nature, and, further, Winnetka residents receive their electric service from the Village, not ComEd. If you receive a call like this, please hang up.
