Update Your Smart911 Profile
The Village uses Smart911's system to distribute alerts to residents in emergencies, but can only send messages to users with active accounts. Smart911 requires that you keep your profile updated, and reminds you with an email every six months to verify that your emergency information remains correct. Per their FAQs:
"It is critical that emergency responders have the most current information in order to provide the fastest and most accurate response at your time of emergency. In some cases, having outdated information can send responders to an incorrect location or with incorrect details on the person in need."
