Winnetka Futures Plan Hearing Continued to March 1
The Plan Commission continued its public hearing on the Winnetka Futures 2040 Plan, Winnetka’s Comprehensive Plan, to a special meeting on Wednesday, March 1. Residents are invited to provide feedback at the March 1 meeting and will have additional opportunities to weigh in at Village Council meetings. Learn more about the plan here.

Environmental and Forestry Commission Green Award Nominations Deadline February 28
The Village's Environmental and Forestry Commission invites nominations for its annual Green Awards Program. The program recognizes properties and households within Winnetka that demonstrate exceptional commitment to sustainable and environmentally-friendly practices. Residents, businesses, and other organizations are encouraged to nominate their house, property, building, or project that has been completed within the past five years. Applications are accepted through February 28, 2023. Learn more.

Purchase Your Annual Sticker by February 28 and Avoid Late Fees
The Village requires that residents purchase a $40 vehicle sticker annually and display it by January 1, though you can renew and avoid a $20 late fee if stickers are purchased before February 28. Application forms for vehicles that were previously registered in Winnetka are mailed to residents in the fall of every year: if you have your form, visit our website to purchase your vehicle sticker. New residents and residents who acquire new vehicles can obtain a license application form at Village Hall or by calling 847-501-6000.

Landmark Preservation Awards Accepted through May 26
The Village of Winnetka's Landmark Preservation Commission is accepting nominations for its Preservation Awards program: an annual initiative seeking to recognize exterior construction projects that have helped preserve the history and character of our community. Award categories include Restoration, Rehabilitation, and New Construction for projects that have been completed during the last five years. Single-family residential, commercial/multi-family residential, and public/institutional properties are eligible. Residents may nominate their own home.
Nomination forms for this year’s program are due by Friday, May 26, 2023.

Winnetka Music Festival Returns June 16 & 17
The Winnetka Music Festival will return to downtown Winnetka on June 16 & 17, 2023. This award-winning festival is consistently recognized as a premier suburban music experience, showcasing top emerging artists and national acts in a comfortable neighborhood setting. Tickets will go on sale to the public in early March, with a special pre-sale for Winnetka residents.
