Sunday Message: All the Way
with Rev. Amani Malaika
Special Music with Susan Clark

The Universe has decreed it and we cannot change it. We shall recognize that effort, that power, that depth of feeling, that glory of creativity, that warmth and color of love, that song that is celestial. We shall know that here and now Spirit itself goes forth anew into creation through us. -Ernest Holmes

Sunday begins the launch of our 30 Days of Prayer, and I believe it is right on time! What an incredible time to deepen our spiritual practice. How amazing it is that we can create daily intention and focus on opening our hearts, expanding our minds, and radiating that out into the world. Let’s take this time to consciously engage in all the ways we pray.

Join us online this Sunday in our virtual sanctuary to be the Love that we are--All The Way!

  • What are joyous loving activities you do that you might not consider prayer?
  • What can you commit to this week to deepen your spiritual practice?

Annual Meeting
ABQ CSL's Annual Meeting has been scheduled for May 17. We will be holding elections for the open Board of Trustees positions.  If you are interested in serving our community via a seat on the Board, email board@abqcsl.org to request an application be emailed to you. Please return completed applications by Wednesday April 15th, 2020, to the same email address.

Community Needs Survey
Links to a community needs survey were sent out last week. Have you let us know your thoughts yet? If not, it's not too late. Click here. Survey will only take a couple of minutes--only 5 questions. Namaste!

SpiritGroups Spring Series
SpiritGroups Spring Series will, of necessity, be Zoom only. This coming Sunday, April 5, is the deadline for submitting a host application. (You may complete a host application on Breeze.)  To be a host for this series, you must get Zoom training.  Once your application is approved, we will schedule you for a training. Other important dates:
  • The first opportunity for participants to sign-up will be April 12.
  • Week Zero (Connections Week) begins on April 19.  Between April 19 to 25, SpiritGroups will host Connection Events in their assigned Zoom rooms on their planned meeting day and time. This is a chance for you (potential members) to test out how it feels to be part of that Zoom-based SpiritGroup and decide if you'd like to join the group.
  • SpiritGroups officially launch (Week 1) on April 26; this is also the last day to join a SpiritGroup.

Board of Trustees
Have questions, suggestions, or comments? Please let the board know: board@abqcsl.org

The monthly board meetings are where Board members review Center business through reports from the Treasurer, the Minister, and the Finance Committee and vote on matters as needed. It is a forum to bring new business and raise concerns. Community members are welcome and encouraged to attend. Monthly board meetings are typically the fourth Thursday of each month, starting at 6:00 PM.

Board working sessions are meetings set aside specifically as work days to give us time to finish tasks, address topics not normally addressed in the monthly meetings, or when our work load is such that the monthly meeting is not enough time. These meetings are also open to the community. Working sessions will be called on an as-needed basis, typically on the second Thursdays of each month, starting at 6:00 PM.

Normally, agendas for both types of meetings are posted in the lobby the Sunday prior to the meeting. During this time, however, we will be including agendas in the newsletter (note: all are subject to change) and Board meetings are being held virtually, via Zoom. If you'd like to participate virtually, contact board@abqcsl.org for more information.

Your current Board of Trustee officers are:
