Sunday Message: The Grace of Space
with Rev. Amani Malaika
Special Music with The ABQ CSL Players

If you wish to change tomorrow, you must engage today in a new way.
--Rabbi Rami Shapiro, The Sacred Art of Lovingkindness

Join in our study of compassion and lovingkindness, based on Rabbi Rami Shapiro’s book: The Sacred Art of Lovingkindness: Preparing to Practice. If you wish to get a copy, you can:
Order from Bookstop (benefits local bookstores)
Order from Amazon Smile (a small portion benefits ABQ CSL)

When we can practice equanimity by embracing what is without being knocked out by it, we can then access the spaciousness of our own minds and live in alignment with the wisdom within. Equanimity gives us the space in our being to gracefully respond to life with lovingkindness.

Join me online this Sunday in our virtual sanctuary to open ourselves to greater lovingkindness!

Show Immigrants in NM You Care!
The New Mexico Faith Coaltion for Immigrant Justice--a long time partner of ABQ CSL--is holding a digital fundraiser this year, due to COVID-19. The group has a goal of raising $50,000 by May 31, which is the usual amount they raise via their annual fundraisers. This amount supports 3 dedicated and tireless part-time workers and represents 1/3 of the group's annual budget. So far, $11,602 (23% of the goal) has been raised. Please contribute if you can, even a small amount, to help reach this essential 2020 milestone.

Click here to donate or send a check made out to NMFCIJ to P.O. Box 40679, Albuquerque, NM 87196.

Due to quarantines and stay-at-home orders, we can’t come together physically, but there’s still a way we can support each other: by creating a chain of continuous prayer.

To make this possible, on Friday, April 3, One Planet, launched, an online space for people — whether they’re religious, religiously unaffiliated, or nonreligious — to offer prayers and positive reflections focused on the health of our human family. You type in your prayer, schedule it, then you (and perhaps thousands of others) say that prayer at the scheduled time.
