AFTD is back as an official Charity Partner of the Colfax Marathon in Denver on May 20-21, 2023! This is the seventh straight year that AFTD has been a Colfax Charity Partner, a longer streak than all but one other race. Join us for a weekend full of community, fun, and awareness for FTD!
There are a variety of races available that weekend for individuals of all skill levels. It doesn’t matter if this is your first race or your hundredth -- there’s an option for you. We have at least one participant in each race, so you won’t be alone representing AFTD, no matter which option you choose.
Saturday (May 20):
5K (3.1 miles) *walker, stroller, and dog friendly*
Sunday (May 21):
Marathon (26.2 miles)
Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
Urban 10-Miler
Marathon Relay (26.2 miles across five individual legs)
In years past, we have had a tent at the Charity Village in City Park as a home base for our participants (to mingle with each other and skip the bag check line) and an opportunity to spread FTD awareness to the tens of thousands of others involved that weekend. In order to secure that tent for free, we must have 25 registered participants on our roster by April 13. As of this writing, we have 15 total, so join us today and help us secure our tent for free. As a bonus, if you’re the 25th runner to join the AFTD-Team roster, you’ll win a special prize!
To register for the Colfax Marathon or to learn more about our Race Season, please click the button below.
When registering, under "Charities" you will be asked "Are you considering raising funds or awareness for a charity?" Please select "Yes" and then be sure to select "The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD).”
Note that donations made through the race's registration form do not benefit AFTD. To donate or fundraise on behalf of AFTD, please visit our team page, and join others who are taking their participation one step further.
