  • A Letter From the Executive Director 📝
  • Stay Connected to RoK 🔑
  • Key Spotlight: INTERSTATE 🎭
  • Volunteer Opportunities 🤝
Dear Ring of Keys community,

Hello! I know we've been introduced a while back, but I wanted to take a moment to say hi personally. I am so honored to be leading this wonderful organization.

Over the first few months of my tenure, I've been able to witness our Keys' brilliant talents as writers, musicians, creatives, and actors through the Queering the Canon concert series. I've heard from many of you, from your new musical premieres to your interest in becoming more involved in this magical queer community (see below for more opportunities!).

I am here to serve you. So I want to hear from you. What do you hope Ring of Keys will do more of? What workshops are most interesting to you? What does being a Key (or a supporter) mean to you? You can always reach me at aislinn@ringofkeys.org. As I am the only non-volunteer employee of Ring of Keys, it may take a minute to respond, but I promise you I'm listening.

I also want to take a quick moment to thank all of our incredible volunteers, Board, and Andrea for her ongoing mentorship and information sharing. You all are what makes Ring of Keys run.

Thank you thank you for your welcome and please say hello,
Aislinn Frantz (she/her)
Executive Director

🔑 KEY SPOTLIGHT: KIT YAN & MELISSA LI 🔑

The latest production of Interstate, written by Keys Kit Yan and Melissa Liwill run at East West Players in Los Angeles from June 2 to June 26. We’re thrilled about this production in particular because East West Players is one of the oldest theatres in the country devoted to producing and supporting shows by artists of color, specifically AAPI writers.
"For us, Interstate is a deeply personal show for us. We wrote this show in order to remember ourselves, because if we aren't the historians of our own stories, oftentimes, we will be forgotten. It's an honor for us to welcome the keys to the show because we wouldn't be here without you. Ring of Keys have been some of our longest supporters and our queer community and family means everything to us. We are because you are."

- Keys Melissa Li & Kit Yan, writers of Interstate

Keys can use code INTERSTATEFAM to receive 10% off any seat. Does not apply to opening night (June 5) and Pay-What-You-Can (June 13 & 20). Limit 4 tickets per order.
