Though the pandemic ravished and decimated our ability to work, one thing became clear: we need community now more than ever before. Ring of Keys uplifted, amplified, and spotlighted hundreds of Keys this year. We believe in transforming the musical theatre canon: we do it by grassroots community organizing. When we finally get back to work, our army of Keys will be stronger than ever because community creates confidence. We're ready to knock down doors, change the face of our industry, and create a vibrant, inclusive, and dynamic musical theatre landscape like we've never seen before. We're ready for you, 2021!

Andrea Prestinario (she/her)
Founding Executive Director
We launched a redesigned, custom CMS website, featuring our Keys Directory — the only directory of its kind in existence. Check it out here.
Grassroots community organizing pays off: We're now 500+ Keys strong in over 40 cities throughout the US, England, and Canada.
We sold out Joe’s Pub, an iconic NYC venue, for our birthday benefit concert “Queering the Canon." Watch the videos on our Instagram.
Broadway closed on March 12th, and we launched a Covid Relief Fund the next day. Here's to showing up for our Keys in 2020 and beyond.
We were able to pay our performers for the first time for “TURN UP THE VOLUME! A Virtual Pride Concert Amplifying Black Keys." Watch here
We provided a brand new Resources page for our industry, offering nearly 100 articles, videos, and resources on queer and trans themes.
From a Q&A with a casting director to tarot reading tips to self-tape help, our workshops offered tangible skills with nearly 18 different Workshops throughout the year.
We pivoted our Workshop Series to digital which remained FREE and exclusive to Keys. Check out upcoming events on your Key dashboard.
This was a huge (and complicated!) step for Ring of Keys, but we did it! More updates coming soon.
