Inspiring. Determined. Connected. These are just a few words that describe Pathfinders – a diverse community of hikers, cyclists, photographers and adventurers – who are united by The Great Trail of Canada.

Some use The Great Trail every day or on weekends, and share their passion for it with their communities. Others undertake long-distance expeditions across Canada along the Trail – a feat that could take over two years to accomplish. All of them show us that there is not simply one way to enjoy the Trail. They prove that no matter who you are, or where you are, you can find your own special place on Canada’s national Trail.

Jane O'Faherty
Trans Canada Trail
Dianne Whelan is an artist who is hiking, snowshoeing, mountain bike riding and canoeing The Great Trail from coast to coast to coast. As part of this 24,000-kilometre journey, she is creating a documentary about her experience.

Stéphane is a photographer, international tour guide, consultant for travellers, but most of all, he’s an adventurer at heart! He loves helping us discover exciting destinations, while providing advice and itineraries for some of the most beautiful sections of The Great Trail.
