Dear <<First Name>>,

Winter may have arrived, snow may be covering some sections of The Great Trail, yet, there has never been a better time to get outside and stay active. As your mind slowly turns towards the holiday season, we’ve got some trail stories, feel-good moments and new learning opportunities so you can make the most of winter on the Trail.

Two people who have always made the most of The Great Trail are Bob and Mary Pat Armstrong. Regular trail users for whom the Trail is a good way to not only stay active, but also stay connected with their community and their friends. Read all about their commitment to match every donation you make throughout the month of December (up to a total of $20,000) to support The Great Trail.

We’re very thankful for your donations, especially this year when it’s more important than ever to have opportunities to spend time outside, socially connected yet maintaining the physical distance that will keep us all safe and healthy. In that regard, here’s a short list of ways your gift makes a real difference in people’s lives. Enjoy!

With the goal of keeping you active, healthy and on the Trail this winter, we have a few tips for anyone looking to pick up cross-country skiing. Whether it’s equipment must-knows or safety tips, this is a great starting point for anyone new to the activity.

As always, we are grateful to everyone who’s been sharing their stories about how they’ve used the Trail in the past few months. It’s been wonderful to learn that so many of you have been enjoying nature safely and discovering new hobbies along the way. So, keep those stories coming!
