Positive Business Stories

There's a whole lot of goodness happening across the region as businesses adapt and innovate their way through the disruptions caused by the pandemic. If you know of a business doing great things, please give them a shout-out by tagging #LoveThePlaceWeLive to feature in the next edition.

The Pocket Produce in El Arish recently launched their online store and have partnered with local producers. Essential food boxes containing produce, bread, eggs and milk can be delivered to your door for a small fee.

Tuskers located in South Mission Beach have launched 'tusker-roo' home delivery service after purchasing two scooters.

Butchers across the region are offering deliveries to help those who #StayHome. Check out your local butcher's facebook page.

"We bought a delivery vehicle and upgraded our website to enable us to sell direct to the public. People are starting to realise how important it is to know more about where food comes from. The story behind it. And also how important it is to support Australian family owned and operated small businesses" Chris Bolton Fishing

"Lots (of businesses) still open with modifications to their service.
It is good to see everyone is being careful and complying with all the Government guidelines. Not every business is closed and if we are careful we can keep busy with some degree of normalcy." Tully & District Chamber of Commerce.
