Radio, tax returns, wallets – digitization stops at nothing. Even our identity is digitized today. And this at a time when cyber-attacks are making headlines every day. Some people are wondering if we wouldn’t have been better off with our passport and savings book.
Remarkably, although younger users in particular are quite happy to share information on social media, they want more security when it comes to bank transactions, just like the older generations. And the physical channel is seen as more secure than the digital one. When it comes to cash or card payments, it seems clear: If I’ve got something in my hand, I’m on the safe side. As if! If the money’s lost, it rarely comes back. A plastic card can at least be locked with a call to the provider. Whereas users can lock a digital token themselves on their cell phones. Safeguarding privacy is another challenge. How can we reconcile privacy, security and user-friendliness? Find out in our current issue on Digital Identities.
Kind regards,
