Goudy illuminated manuscript detail
original Tenniel sketches
The most important rare book fair of the year is this weekend at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City. My co-founder of Type Punch Matrix, Brian Cassidy, will be exhibiting in booth E9.

His booth includes a number of major Type Punch Matrix highlights - including a copy of Lewis Carroll's Through The Looking Glass with original pencil sketches by Tenniel and an Arts and Crafts-style illuminated manuscript by W. Frederic Goudy.

Later this month I will be participating in a symposium in honor of Nicholas Basbanes's groundbreaking work, A Gentle Madness, for its 25th anniversary.

I'm the "representative" (ha) dealer - the other participants are Kevin O'Sullivan, Curator of Rare Books & Manuscripts at Texas A&M; and Kurt Zimmerman, the tenacious collector of books about book collecting. More information here.
