Spend your School Holidays with us this Fall!

Sande has added an exciting new camp opportunity this year! Your kiddos can come enjoy a day of horseback riding, horsemanship education, games, crafts and more at Sande on school holidays in the Scappoose and St. Helens School Districts. Current dates offered are October 11th and November 11th, from 9:00 - 2:00 with before and after care available.  Email Brooke at if you are interested in signing up.
Kids Night Out and Two More Camp Weeks Coming Up!

Sande is offering another Kid's Night Out on Friday, August 23rd, one more Little Wranglers Camp and one more Big Kids Camp!  Sign up now here!

At Barnyard Roundup Camp this Monday - Wednesday, kids ages 4-7 will spend the day with goats, bunnies, miniature horses and of course our regular crew of lesson horses!  At Wet and Wild Camp the last week of August, kids ages 8-14 will ride twice each day Monday - Thursday and have beach-themed games, crafts and fun!
               Therapeutic Lesson Program Assistant

We are looking for someone interested in assisting with our therapeutic lesson program.  Starting times / day would be Wednesdays, approximately  2pm to 4pm depending on class sizes and potentially expand into Fridays in the Spring. This would involve leading horses and/or walking alongside horses during lessons for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Training would be provided! Please contact Kassi at if you are interested in learning more about this opportunity!

Next Steps for Advancing Students!

Sande has added some exciting new options for students who are hoping to further their horsemanship involvement beyond weekly lessons. If your child wants nothing more than to own a horse or live at the barn, start with our Youth Volunteer Training Program, our Weekly Practice Ride Program or consider increasing lessons to twice per week. Buying and caring for a horse is a huge commitment and much more costly than lessons or a partial lease. Before considering a horse or looking into joining 4-H, start by getting your hooves wet and see how you and your student take to the increased involvement and responsibility at the barn first! For more information, please review the Fall Lesson information sheet and talk to Kassi.
