OER? NoLo?
MCC and the other community colleges in New Hampshire are working to make course materials more affordable and easily accessible for all students. You’ve probably noticed the NoLo designation in MCC’s course schedules, or “OER Materials” listed for your course at the bookstore, in Canvas, or in your syllabus. If you need help locating your OER course materials, ask us!
What are OERs? Open Educational Resources (OERs) are materials that are either in the public domain or openly licensed so they can be freely shared, and often remixed/edited. They are free and easy for students and faculty to access, download, keep, and share.
What is NoLo? NoLo are “no cost or low cost” course materials and when you see this designation in your course schedule, it means the retail cost of all required course materials (in new condition) will be under $40.
