Director's Cut

Sustainability is often defined as the capacity of a resource to endure. By that measure, our students have shown themselves to be our most sustainable resource in a year that tested us all. We hope you take the time to read some of their achievements below.

Speaking of enduring, this is the SII’s final newsletter!  When we return in Fall, we will be the Global Sustainability Leadership Institute (GSLI). A journey that started four years ago as a scrappy initiative will continue through this endowed institute, a partnership between the McCombs School of Business and the Moody School of Communication. Watch for more announcements and celebrations in the coming months.

Congratulations to our graduates! Your resilience has been awe-inspiring.

To Impact,

Meeta Kothare

Managing Director, SII

Melinda French Gates (Author of The Moment of Lift)

“Diversity is the best way to defend equality. If people from diverse groups are not making those decisions, the burdens and benefits of society will be divided unequally and unfairly — with the people writing the rules ensuring themselves a greater share of the benefits and a lesser share of the burdens of any society. If you are not brought in, you get sold out."
