What's Happening

In Our Prayers

Long-time member Norma Quirk passed away Saturday, June 4. Details regarding a memorial service are pending, but we will let you know when those details are available. You can read her obituary and sign the online guestbook here. Norma led our special needs Sunday school for many years. Norma had a genuine love for God and His people and was a true example of a follower of Jesus. She will be missed. Please keep the family in your prayers.

VBS Help and Wishlist

Can you successfully use scissors? Can you say hi? Then you are eligible and needed to help with VBS! VBS is from June 27–July 1 from 9am to noon. Please contact Janine if you are available and willing to serve our children in this way.

Also, we have a VBS Wishlist! Please click on the link below to view and purchase items. In order for supplies to arrive on time, please order by June 17 (one week from Friday).

On Saturday, July 16, Ashland will be partnering with other local churches to serve our community. Five volunteers are needed for the Voorhees Serve Day Carwash from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Set up starts at 9 a.m., and the actual carwash begins at 10 a.m. Contact Janine Fleming to volunteer.

Picnic Follow-up and Thank you

We had such and amazing day for our joint picnic with Ashland and Grace Ministries! A picture-perfect day, fun games for the kids, a visit from the Voorhees Township Police K-9 unit, and delicious food to satisfy the most distinguished palate. A special thank you to ALL who made this possible! Also, Tamera and I were both very touched by the recognition of our 20th year of ministry at Ashland Church and the very thoughtful gift. What an amazing blessing to be with so many friends! Let's do this again soon!

Air Condition Horner Hall

The air-conditioning systems in Horner Hall have gotten a bit tired, and one of them has ceased working. If you can help with an additional gift, please designate a gift to the Building, either through our Online Giving platform (Parking Lot Repair/Building on drop down menu), or indicate on a check or envelope.

New Sunday Morning Adult Class

Following the death of Joshua, Israel fell in to a 350-year Dark Age. This Sunday, June 12, Greg Goss and John Tait will begin a new class in the chapel, studying through the Old Testament book of Judges. See how God led his people through this Dark Age using these fascinating leaders.

Additional Sunday Morning Adult Classes

Bible classes are offered Sunday mornings at 9 a.m.
Get to Know Ashland: For those who would like to learn more about the ministry, history and vision of Ashland Church, this class is taught by Pastor Jamie and Ashland Church Elders in Horner Hall.
Guiding Families of LGBT+ Loved Ones: A seven-week book discussion (5/8–6/19) especially for Christian leaders, parents, and friends with LGBT+ loved ones. "Guiding Families" is a grace-filled book coming from a traditional biblical interpretation of the topic. Contact Janine Fleming with any questions.
