Grand Challenges Scholars Information Session
There will be an informational session from 1 to 2 p.m. on October 19 at the iZone Forum at Rush Rhees Library, led by Emma Derisi, coordinator for undergraduate global initiatives. Grand Challenges Scholars work on the most complex problems of the present and future in the realms of sustainability, health, security, and the joy of living. They develop an interdisciplinary, hands-on project that maximizes the flexibility of the Rochester Curriculum and choose other complementary activities to develop a theme to their undergraduate experience.  The program is open to all majors. The Kearns Center will accept applications starting next Monday!
The application for the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program will open on Monday, October 15, 2018.  Want to learn more about the McNair Program? We will host information sessions on the following dates:
  • Thursday, October 18, 2018
  • Monday, November 12, 2018

Cornell Diversity Preview Weekend 2019 is seeking applications

The third annual Graduate Student Diversity Preview Weekend will be held from March 7-10, 2019. Participant housing and meals will be provided, as well as up to $600 in travel expenses. Applications are sought from students that are interested in applying for graduate school during the 2019-2020 application cycle. If you have any questions, please email
