As-salamualaikum,

Last week was nothing short of a disaster in the state of Texas. Coupled with the ongoing pandemic it has been a rough start to the year for many. We hope that you were able to stay warm and safe during the storm.

There are many families suffering from the economic effects of the pandemic and last week only exacerbated the financial duress they are under. Many of our local families have lost wages, are unable to find jobs or are even unable to return to work in order to keep their children in virtual school. Your help is still greatly needed in this time.

We are happy to announce our participation in Amplify Austin again this year. Amplify Austin is a digital giving drive for local charities who support families in Austin. This year we are raising funds to help the families we serve who are most impacted by the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the winter storm, by providing them with basic and urgent needs in areas such as:

  •  rent assistance
  •  bills
  •  food
  •  clothing
  •  cleaning supplies
  •  bus passes
Donating this year is especially impactful because MCSS has been selected by the ILHIGH: Disaster Relief Fund as a potential $35,000 match as well as the Shield-Ayres Foundation: Basic Needs Grant as a potential $10,000 match.  That means your donations have DOUBLE the impact this year.

Help us reach our goal of $45,000 and help local families get the relief they need.

DONATE NOW
Amplify Austin is on now until March 5th, we do not have much time. Support local Muslim families and donate today.

JazakAllah Khair!

**If you prefer to donate offline, please email info@mcssaustin.org to receive the appropriate forms.
