Youth and Children's Ministry
Leader Opportunities!

There are lots of incredible things going on in the youth and children's work, and it is a privilege to work with amazing volunteers whose hard work and investment enable it to happen!
However, we need some more volunteers to keep running these groups.

We are in need of:
3 leaders for Jump (Y1-5) on Sunday mornings
2 leaders for DMC (Y6-8) on Thursday evenings 6-8pm
1 leader for Sunday Night Youth (Y9-13) on Sunday evenings 6.30-8.30pm

If you have a passion to share Jesus with children and young people and think you might be able to help with any of the following roles, please do have a pray about it and come and speak to me or contact me on

Materials to work from are provided. Come and try out a session before committing. I'd love to hear from you!

Postage Stamps
On the information table there is a collection box for used postage stamps which the Leprosy Mission can use to raise funds. So, before you dispose of your hundreds of Christmas envelopes, please cut off the stamps, leaving a small border and pop them into the collection box! Also, please remember your birthday or everyday stamps throughout the year.
Coffee at Mums & Toddlers
We have a lovely, lively bunch who meet at church every Monday morning from 9:30-11am. We also have a lovely, lively bunch who serve them drinks.

Occasionally, the servers can't make it, so we are looking for a couple of other people to join them so that we can keep the rota full for every week. If you have a bit of spare time on a Monday morning, please contact Ian.
Choir will be re-starting in the New Year on Wednesday 8th January. Come & join us!
Join us in the New Year on Wednesday 8th January.

12 – 15 March 2020
This is the Archbishop of York's final Mission, and Northern Bishops and their teams will be based in each deanery and working with the local churches to enable us to be more effective in inviting others to Come and See:

Hello!  This is our first team communication about Come and See and it's a thinking and prayer sheet with a special date for your diary in January.

Tuesday January 7th at 7.30pm at St Paul's is our preparation event to do encouraging, training and prayer and worship together.

Please prayerfully ask around and see if there are friends and folk you sit near in church who might be interested to join in and invite them to the 7th January.

Obviously, we want as many people involved in the programme to chat their faith and invite friends and family to Come and See events.

Reminder of the programme:

14/15th March Saturday (all day) and Sunday afternoon - Scarecrow Trail organised by St Paul’s School. The trail will run from school to West Bank Park with maps, welcome cafe and activities in the church itself and the West Bank café specially opened.  We have invited the Bishop working in our deanery to attend, bless the event and be briefly interviewed.

Sunday 15th March 10.00am School to Church service (with the trail open from 12.30 - 3.00pm).

What we need you and many others to do..

For all day Saturday and Sunday afternoon:
  • helpers at the café points (St Paul's and West Bank park cafe)
  • cake makers (can be done before Sat and left if not around that day)
  • kitchen team at St Paul's
  • welcomers and chatters about Jesus
  • craft organisers and helpers
  • workshop ideas - circus - Stuart are you free that day?, etc
  • performances - eg community choir (Liz can we put this in the diary?)
  • We want scarecrow makers - in their own gardens if they live en route, or at church or businesses who want to have scarecrows in their patch.
We need to firm up some of these into place soon so that they can be included in the programme from the school.

AND For 6 Tuesdays starting 17th March we also need:
  • START course - cake makers
  • START course - table hosts - possibly 7 or 8 folk

Parenting has never been easy. Along with the timeless challenges, today we also have to think about sexting, online bullying, constant screen time and loads of other considerations relating to the online world.

We know there are benefits, but the dangers are real and we can't ignore the need to safeguard our families.

At Left To Their Own Devices? Katharine Hill and Sim Dendy delve into the newest social media apps, the effects of growing up in a digital environment and how to help our children feel confident in who they are in a ‘selfie obsessed’ culture.

Book now and help your family navigate the digital age.
