Hi all, some of you have expressed a desire to keep updated with our walk's progress - our blog can be found at thegrantslejog.wordpress.com and we'll try and keep it updated pretty regularly!

If you'd like to visit us then let the church office know - where we intend to be can be found in the blog. As always, your prayers are welcome too!

Leprosy Mission

Following our latest fundraising for the Mission we recently donated the sum of £461. This was doubled up to £922, thanks to UK Aid Match.

Copies of the latest edition of the Leprosy Mission's magazine "New Day" are available on the table at the back of church.
Encouraging Faith
Encouraging Faith is a new initiative designed to help parents get intentional about passing on their Christian Faith to their children. Our children are leaving the established churches in record numbers, in part because they have been poorly prepared to face the challenges of our culture in the 21st century. In order to foster a vital, robust faith, children need their parents to help them grow in the knowledge and love of God, learn how to pray and read the bible. They also need to be taught apologetics, and how our culture currently regards Biblical faith. Commiting to spending a regular amount of time with your children to talk about following Jesus is immensely worthwhile and meaningful, and will enrich your family relationships as well as nourishing their faith. Head over to www.encouragingfaith.co.uk for ideas and resources to help you on your journey.

Ebor Lectures
The Ebor Lectures is an ecumenical project jointly organised by York Minster, York St John University, The Order of Carmelites, The Yorkshire North and East District of the Methodist Church and The C. & J. B. Morrell Trust.

The Lectures are a response to the growing need for theology to interact with public issues of contemporary society.
