OLIVIA OOMS' "CALIFORNIA COUNTRY" VIDEO adds "California Country" Video to Next Up Now
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Huntington Beach-based songstress, Olivia Ooms, continues making waves as exclusively premieres the video for her latest single "California Country." also added the road-trip themed video to Next Up Now

The "star on the rise (Guitar Girl Mag/Victoria Shaffer)" co-wrote "California Country" with ACM Award-winner Jamie O'Neal and co-directed the video with David Javier. Ooms previously worked with Javier on her "Thoughts of You" video, which world-premiered on CMT and earned Ooms a spot in CMT's Artist Discovery program. 

Throughout the video, Ooms explores many locations along the west coast with her Highway 39 band members, explaining that the footage "quickly became a metaphor for 'traveling along the road of life and the many people we meet who influence us along our journey!'" 

Ooms recently performed at The Orange County Register's Best of Orange County Awards Celebration held at City National Grove of Anaheim. The emerging entertainer will return to Nashville for two sets at The Wildhorse Saloon on Oct. 5 at 5:00 and 6:15 p.m. and a performance on WSMV-TV's "Today in Nashville" on Oct. 7 at 11:00 a.m. CT.

Seventeen-year-old singer-songwriter Olivia Ooms has the mature vocals and songwriting prowess of an old soul. With her new single "California Country," co-written and produced by ACM Award winner Jamie O'Neal, the Huntington Beach, Calif. native combines her coastal roots and southern sound. "California Country" follows Ooms' debut single "Thoughts of You," which landed the emerging entertainer a spot in CMT's Artist Discovery Program, a performance on CMA's Spotlight Stage and placement as the first female country artist featured on Radio Disney's RDYou Station. Ooms' passion for country music is evident in every performance from opening for Lady Antebellum and Old Dominion with her band at Coastal Country Jam, The Swon Brothers and John Fullbright at the Oklahoma Festival of Ballooning and country music icon Tanya Tucker, whose path Ooms can certainly relate to as a teenage songstress rising to fame. While not on the road, Ooms is actively involved with her performing arts magnet program at her high school and in the community through her involvement with the Huntington Beach Police Department, Community Outreach Alliance and numerous environmental causes.
