Dear family, friends and clients.

We welcome you to this month's series: Winter Bliss, home is where the heart is and we made it through 2020.

2020 how far we’ve all come thus far. It was a year of change, loss, growth, and rebirth. We can also look at it as a year which gave us the gift of time with our loved ones, the opportunity to re-evaluate our relationships, our businesses and how and where we want to live. It looks like we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel (I hope) with the vaccine now being administered with the goal of alleviating another potential shut-down of the city that (used to) never sleep.

Face masks were unquestionably the must-have item of 2020, quickly evolving from medical necessity to fashion accessory.

We reimagined our homes as our lives were transformed by the pandemic. Many buyers have taken advantage of this unprecedented buying opportunity and upgraded their real estate holdings. Homes such as the terrace collection at 30 Warren and the PH at 316 East 22nd are even more desirable due to their private outdoor spaces and expansive multifunctional layouts they provide. Now is a good time to take advantage of  the greatly depressed rental market due to an oversupply of inventory.

Our hearts go out to the restaurants that have permanently closed their doors. Unfortunately, many of them were not able to take advantage of outdoor dining to make it through the pandemic.  On a positive note, some restaurants turned to professional designers such as Roman and Williams, who crafted an amazing outdoor dining experience at La Mercerie, while Buddakan offered  David Rockwell, who also made plans available to do-it-yourselfers on his website as described in our Daily ritual section by 1st Dibs.  A few friends and I had a wonderful experience at Jean George’s Nougatine, which I highly recommend.

On a personal note, I’ve embraced the changes 2020 thrusted upon our family, forcing us to spend a tremendous amount of uninterrupted time together. This turned out to be a blessing, as it allowed my family to bond on a very deep level, while on a 2 month hiatus in LA.  I’m grateful for Social Media on a personal and business level.  All the Zoom workouts that kept me connected to Wellness Guru, Tracy Anderson community.  It also kept me connected to family and friends, while we supported each other in these challenging times. Social and Zoom also helped  us serve and connect with our clients and sell virtually and we were given the opportunity to sell a beautiful 4 bedroom coop sight unseen (1100 Park Ave)  via Zoom at the beginning of the Pandemic. We are grateful to all our clients who allowed us to assist them in making smart real estate purchases during this crazy time.. While working extremely hard, we also got to achieve more of a balance in creating meaningful moments with our family and friends. We are grateful to the incredible support and guidance Corcoran has given us though-out the entire pandemic from building a community that cares and contributes to delivering stats, new developments, support and through Agent Studio delivering training to stay on top of the evolution of digital technology while honing our relationships.
Community and Contribution in 2020 was Awakened and Voices were finally heard. In the greatest of spirits it’s necessary to move forward, create and focus on the opportunities through adversity.

We got through 2020 and thank you for our support and engagement.   Wishing you and yours some well-deserved downtime and a very happy new year to come. Cheers to health, happiness, and prosperity in 2021!
