We welcome you to this month's series: Falling For New York City. 
This fall, not only have we enjoyed dining al fresco in amazing weather at all the great restaurants--we've also seen an uptick in the real estate market. It is wonderful to witness that some of the biggest deals ever to take place in the New York City real estate market are occurring during the times we are currently living through.
From the sale of the $33,000,000 penthouse at 90 Morton Street in the West Village in early September to the recently in-contract full-floor 8,088 square foot unit at 432 Park Avenue, deals are happening and continue to happen. Even developments in emerging Downtown neighborhoods like 25 Park Row are taking part in the action, with PH45A entering contract at $25,000,000 in the past week.
What is even more interesting is that most of these sales were New York-based purchasers. Tried and true New Yorkers continue to support the marketplace as they continue to trickle back from the Hamptons, Connecticut and beyond. The return of domestic buyers is fascinating and exciting, especially when there continues to be an opportunity market.
We still have much to look forward to, from yoga on a terrace 100 floors in the sky in Hudson Yards to the amazing news that celebrated sculptor Simone Leigh, whose work has been featured on the High Line, will be taking center stage at the American Pavillion in the Venice Biennale.
