Florida BH IMPACT aims to improve the identification and treatment of pregnant and postpartum patients who experience mental health and substance abuse disorders by expanding behavioral health screening and access to services for prenatal, pregnant, and postpartum women. The program promotes maternal and child health by building healthcare providers' capacity for addressing these critical issues through professional development, expert consultation and support, and dissemination of best practices.

The Florida BH IMPACT team has been providing free training to our enrolled practices around the state this month. Dr. Kay Roussos-Ross offers training on substance use, anxiety, and depression. To schedule a training in your practice, please contact Dr. Amandla Shabaka-Haynes at Amandla.Shabaka-Haynes@med.fsu.edu.
Remember, if you are an enrolled provider, you can access the
Provider Portal here for more educational and patient materials about behavioral health.
In June 2021, Dr. Roussos-Ross was a guest on the Palm Beach Medical Society MedTalk Podcast Series on an episode titled Opioid Use Disorder and Pregnancy, Special Dilemmas. Click here to listen!
