Introducing '19 WCS Team Expedition AKOR from Quebec.
This major expedition, supported by RCGS, took six adventurers in the heart of Quebec and Labrador's North. Brought together by Nicolas Roulx, a secondary school geography teacher and Geography Master Applicant, they travelled 1,500 km in 3 months to connect George River, Ungava Bay, Mount Iberville and the steep coasts of Labrador Sea. At the heart of this journey lie the Torngat Mountains’ fjords. Four members of AKOR Team will present together at WCS.
Lawyer by training, college instructor and now studying for her masters in law, Sara-Jeanne has an unquenchable thirst for adventure. For Guillaume, expeditions are a rewarding way to grow and get in touch with nature, which he cherishes for its pure beauty.
Attracted by vast open spaces and untouched wilderness since his youth, Charles loves long canoe-camping trips for the challenges and the natural treasures they bring along the way. As a teacher of history and geography in high school, Nicolas takes a great pleasure in sharing his knowledge and experiences. His insatiable curiosity pushes him toward new horizons, often way out of his comfort zone.
