A Message from The Catholic Crusade
The Church dedicates the month of May to the Blessed Virgin Mary, who is the Mother of the Church and the mother of all who receive her and honor her as their own spiritual mother. Three special feast days in May honor the Virgin Mary: Our Lady of Fatima (May 13th), Mary, Help of Christians (May 24th) and the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (May 31st).
There are four novenas that are commonly prayed in May:
- • Novena to Our Lady of Fatima (May 4-12)
- • Novena to Saint Dymphna (May 6-14)
- • Novena to Saint Rita (May 13-21)
- • Novena to the Holy Spirit (May 27-June 4th)

The Prayer to Obtain the Grace of All the World's Masses should be prayed daily and made known. Our prayers are strongest at the Consecration in Holy Mass (at the raising of Host and Chalice). In eternity, we shall fully realize that it was certainly worthwhile to have assisted at Holy Mass daily. Pray for priests that they may offer the Mass with holy love and reverence.

The Acts of Faith, Hope and Love prayer is based on the three theological virtues taught by St. Paul in the Gospel (1 Corinthians 13:1-13). These graces are gifts from God given to us freely; and we are free, but not required, to accept and use them.

Prayer to St Michael the Archangel (Long Version) | Pope Leo XIII, after mass one day, experienced a vision of the evil spirits attacking and seeking to the destroy the Church. In the midst of the attack was St. Michael the Archangel battling with the evil spirits, casting Satan and his legions into the abyss of Hell. This prayer, the original and longer version of the Prayer to St Michael the Archangel, was composed by Pope Leo XII in response to the vision; calling upon St Michael to defend the Church and its people.

Upcoming Novena - May 2022

The Novena to Our Lady of Fatima is a nine-day prayer devotion for the intentions of our Blessed Mother, who appeared to three children in a small village in Portugal called Fatima in 1917. Our Lady asked the children to devote themselves to praying and offering the Rosary for the conversion of poor sinners and of Russia.
