IN THE NEWS

Congratulations to our founder, Sydney Bartunek Bender, for receiving a Special Distinction Award at the second annual Sioux Falls Stage Awards! This was a complete surprise during the awards show that filled Sydney will gratitude, joy and energy! Here are a few words from her:

"I was nominated for an outdoor show that had the pure intention of bringing hope and joy to residents in a senior living facility… I planned during Covid for a couple months leading up to the show date and then my grandma Joan who had been struggling with Parkinson’s, pneumonia and onset of dementia passed away a few days before the show date so I was unable to be there physically as I was at her funereal services in Peever / Sisseton area. Lisa Rubin Conlin was my saving grace ensuring that the show on without a hitch both in-person and virtually.
IN THE NEWS

Congratulations to our founder, Sydney Bartunek Bender, for graduating the second cohort of the CO.STARTERS Accelerator Program with Startup Sioux Falls. This experience allowed Sydney to hone in where Move To Heal South Dakota can make the biggest impact in Sioux Falls and across the state.

Learn about our organizational shift:

At Move to Heal South Dakota we create a safe space for people to experience healing arts.

To us, the healing arts are:

  • Yoga

  • Mindfulness

  • Meditation

  • Movement

  • Performing Arts

We also will provide training programs for partner organizations to share the power of movement and mindfulness with the people they serve. These include teachers, coaches, counselors and afterschool providers.

We focus on:

  • The whole person

  • Trauma-informed strategies

Move To Heal South Dakota is aiming to become the states premier wellness resource and professional development trainer that in return would equip more children with the social-emotional tools they need to cope through life experiences.

We invite you to support us in our venture forward in becoming our states premier wellness resource to empower self-healing and successful communities.

In addition to grants, peer donations and business sponsorships play a great role in funding our programs. You can help us “get moving” with a donation today!
