Every Month is Energy Efficiency Month

In October, so many of you stepped up to the plate to get your homes ready for the cold ahead. Over 120 of you reached out to ener-G-save to have us help you line up your free energy audit. And that doesn’t include those of you who may have called your community action agency or called Mass Save directly. Well done!

You can still take action. Here is how:

If you own your home, call ener-G-save at 413-279-9141.
If you rent, tell your landlord to call Mass Save at 866-527-7283.
If you receive fuel assistance, call Springfield Partners at 413-263-6500 (or in Hampshire or Franklin County, call Community Action at 413-774-2310).

And by the way, if your finances are tight, you might be in for a surprise. Households with moderate incomes (between $48,856 and $64,977 for a family of 2) can qualify for 100% coverage for needed insulation! And that’s on top of all the LED bulbs, sealing of leaks, and more that are offered at no cost.

Cooler Communities

If you’ve been following ener-G-save for awhile, you may already know about our education grant program, Cooler Communities.

After two successful pilot programs this past spring in Agawam and in the Berkshires, we are now expanding the project to six communities.

It leverages students’ classroom work on energy and climate topics to create measurable energy savings in participating communities.

Schools receive grants to participate and students get to see the change they can create in their communities. Keep an eye out for more news and stories from engaged students across Pioneer Valley. And support their voices and causes by liking the Cooler Communities facebook page. Thank you!

Solar Access Program for Affordable New Energy Systems

The Solar Access program might be for you! It provides affordable solar panels and replaces old heating systems with efficient heat pump heating and cooling to low and middle income homeowners. Energy savings are guaranteed for those who qualify, through discounts, rebates and a 0% loan.

The program will be ending on December 31, 2019! So get in touch with them immediately! An installation agreement must be signed by the end of the year in order for participants to receive all of the benefits.
