White Bird Clinic Happenings
To celebrate White Bird Clinic's 50th anniversary and the 30th anniversary of our successful CAHOOTS program, we hosted a dual birthday party and a fundraiser at Wildcraft on Friday, August 30th. Awesome event!
We were thrilled to participate in the 11th Annual Eugene Pearl District block party outside of our new Dental Clinic at 1415 Pearl Street! Free balloon art and face painting were enjoyed by kids of all ages and we loved meeting our new neighbors.
White Bird Clinic co-coordinator Chris Hecht and medical director Dana O'Mary attended the Oregon Primary Care Association All Executive Peer Group Gathering to learn from the collective experience and expertise of Oregon health center leaders in caring for our most vulnerable populations.
Dr. Tim Welch led a hard hat tour of White Bird Dental's construction of 1415 Pearl Street. The remodeled space will have 12 dental chairs and allow increased access to dental care for families.
130 people attended this year's Day of Caring, coordinated by our Homeless Department. ShelterCare brought outreach supplies, and we provided food and VISA gift cards. We had 33 people fill out a survey and we are tabulating results now to help us improve services.
We had a great time meeting people at the Pride Celebration this year! We are proud of our clients, co-workers, and community members who are bravely authentic in their identities. In doing so, you are helping us all break free from restrictive gender norms and social categories that harm every one of us, in varying ways.
