Hello <<First Name>>,

How can we welcome and care for our newly arrived neighbors?

You're invited to a "Lunch & Learn" to find out.

Currently, the City of Denver, nonprofit partners, and State resources are overwhelmed with the influx of migrants. And a representative from the State of Colorado has reached out to see if the Church can help to welcome, host, and care for newly arrived migrants.

It's been a long and hard journey for many who have arrived in Denver, especially for one family who has fled Venezuela to escape an oppressive and corrupt government.
(see a story of one families journey)

(We want to) "work and fight for a good future for our child and have peace of mind. Peace, above all, we want to be in a safe place. We couldn't achieve that in our own country."

How can the Body of Christ welcome and love our new neighbors?

The State is asking if the Church could help host and/or care for families, helping them navigate resources for a minimum of 6 months.

Come to a "Lunch & Learn" to hear the stories of:

- A current migrant family

- The faith journey of a family who responded to the unmet needs of their refugee neighbors.

- And how a small group of community members, a pastor, and his church have risen to the occasion.

Representatives from the city and state will share some specifics on how we can engage as individuals, families, small groups, and churches.

Please RSVP for this free lunch and learn in person or on Zoom.

The gathering is Wednesday, February 15th at Confluence Ministries.

Doors will open at 11:30 am for lunch and fellowship.

The program will begin at 12 pm

Peace to you,

Patrick
