Hey folks. Back to your usual newsletter of 3D links :)

How to Tile a Texture Without Repetition
We've all experienced the frustration of visible tiles appearing in a render. And while you could continue hiding it with trees (we've all done it), a better method is correctly tiling them in the first place. So in this video I share four techniques for avoiding visible tiling forever.

Great video series on Mastering Blending Modes
It may sound boring or technical, but understanding how Blending Modes function can help you craft better materials. This series is made for Substance, but the same applies to Blender, Photoshop or anything with blending modes (screen, multiply, add etc.).

Animation for adults is the "fastest growing animation category"
If you enjoyed Netflix's Love, Death and Robots short series, you'll be pleased to hear that animation aimed at adults has been cited as the fastest growing animation category. Fingers crossed we'll get to see similar releases appearing across streaming platforms.

Faster framerates + better visuals!? Both are possible with DLSS 2.0
Up until recently the ability to create more pixels out of nothing was science fiction. But as I spoke about here, it's becoming a reality thanks to AI. Nvidia has taken it a step further by doing it in realtime as you play! It's called DLSS 2.0 and it renders at a lower-resolution then upreses it on the fly. Which means improved performance at no cost in quality. Smart!

That's all folks. Follow me on twitter for more interesting stuff that doesn't make it here: @andrewpprice.
