Hey here's the stuff I found interesting this week in 3D...

"Good Enough" - an important artistic skill to develop
David Sandberg is the director of 'Shazam!' and 'Annabelle: Creations' - but he also makes some insightful videos for film makers. In 'Good Enough' he explains how he overcame the many vfx challenges in his new short (which you should definitely watch first!). It's a great lesson for all artists: know when it's "good enough" and move on to the next project.

Nifty blender addon for free CC models
This should be part of every artists arsenal! The Sketchfab plugin searches CC-BY models, then downloads and imports them in one click. I only wish I had discovered it sooner.

How to make a production ready character in Blender
In just under 30 minutes Julien Kaspar (from the Blender Institute) explains all the steps needed to create a character for a short or feature film. There's a full indepth course version on the Blender Cloud, but this birds-eye overview will be enough for most people to understand the workflow.

That's all folks. Follow me on twitter for more interesting stuff that doesn't make it here.
