We hope everyone enjoyed their Fourth of July holiday. As you are aware, days are getting hotter and staying cool is becoming quite the challenge. Please review the signs, treatment, and prevention of heat stroke.

Just a reminder, due to some tax law findings and the risk of disqualifying our SUB Fund, it was advised to transfer balances over $6,500 over to the individual’s Health Reimbursement Account (HRA).  Beginning with April contributions, all excess SUB balances will be transferred to your individual HRA account.  You can view your SUB balance by logging onto our Benefit Inquiry Site.

Your Health Reimbursement Account can be used for several medical expenses. The balance can be used to pay medical bills, cover prescription co-pays, or pay for your health care premiums in retirement! This is a benefit available to you once you’re eligible in the plan.

Effective July 1st, the $20.00 co-pay for using LiveHealth online is gone!  Now, for no cost, participants can use LiveHealth Online to speak to a doctor 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.  LiveHealth is not only a convenience for the end user, but a cost savings option for our Plan.   

Please be sure you are notifying the Benefits Office of all life changes (marriages, children, divorces, etc.) Failing to do so can result in dropped coverage or repayment for claims paid on those not eligible.

July 1st begins the 2019 Defined Benefit plan year. As a reminder, you will need to work 250 hours to earn a vesting credit. The trustees have extended the suspension rules and retirees who retired on or prior to May 1, 2018 may go back to work.  If you are one of the retirees who worked during the 2018 plan year, pension recalculations will happen early September. Remember, a benefit increase started May 28th and Contractors are now contributing 23.40% of gross wages on your behalf.
The SUB Plan is an employee welfare benefit Plan that provides Supplemental Unemployment Compensation, Wage Replacement, Disability, Death and certain other Ancillary Benefits to Participants and Beneficiaries who are eligible for benefits under the rules set forth in the Summary Plan Description.

Completed Applications and Required Documentation should be emailed to by Friday at 4:30pm. Applications will not be processed without all required documentation.  The Supplemental Unemployment Benefit will be paid 5-10 business days after you receive payment from the Unemployment office.

Need an eye exam? New glasses or contacts?  Be sure to know and understand your vision benefits.  We have no "in-network providers", which means you can see the eye doctor of your choice!  Each person has $400.00 every rolling two years to use however they see fit.

*These four St. Vincent Neighborhood Hospitals will appear on the Anthem “Find a Doctor” tool once the facilities have been fully credentialed by Anthem.

Note: The micro-hospitals in Brownsburg, affiliated with Hendricks County Regional Health, remains out of network at this time.
