After many 6:45am starts and countless muesli bars, Avila travelled to MSAC on Thursday 24 March to compete in the SCSA Swimming and Diving Competition. This competition is an annual event that many of our swimmers and divers look forward to. We are glad to report that we came 7th for swimming and 5th for Diving!

Throughout the night, we had many successful results including our own Madeline Horvath breaking the Year 10 50m Breaststroke for the third year running! How hard the girls tried really showed in their times and individual places they came. The girls showed a tremendous amount of team spirit, cheering for the other girls and supporting them all the way to the last race.

We would like to express our deepest thanks to Mrs Hume for always encouraging us, Ms Campigli for being a calm presence amongst the team and Nat, our amazing swim coach for all her hard work, dedication and passion towards this swim squad. Also to Ms King for continuously bringing her bubbly and outgoing attitude to the early morning dive training, helping us stay motivated at 6:45am in the morning!
