Dear Avila Community
Today we gathered together as a Catholic and Presentation community to further prepare for Easter through our Holy Thursday liturgy. The Easter Triduum is a significant three day period in our Church year. We come together to reflect and pray as people committed to the Resurrection and all that is promised in the joy of Easter Sunday. Students led us in the Stations of the Cross through interpretation of the scripture, prayer and music.
Our last week of school has been busy and joyous. Our inaugural whole school Sports Day at Jells Park was bathed in sunshine, participation and competition. Our Sports and House Captains inspired all and PE and Sport staff coordinated a major logistics exercise - it was a great day to be an Avila person - congratulations to all!
The holiday break offers a timely opportunity to rest and reconnect, to spend time with family, friends and some solo downtime too. Taking a break away from the busyness of school life and giving ourselves permission to rest is important for us all - students, parents and staff.
Happy Easter to all.

Faith & Mission
Weekly Prayer
Draw us forth, God of all creation.
Draw us forward and away from limited certainty into the immense world of your love.
Give us the capacity to even for a moment taste the richness of the feast you give us.
Give us the peace to live with uncertainty,
with questions, with doubts.
Help us to experience the resurrection anew with open wonder and an increasing ability to see you in the people of Easter.
Amen
