Wednesday 20 October 2021

Dear Avila Community,

We are looking forward to welcoming students back to school in line with the Victorian Government directives.

Students will return to onsite learning in a staged way. Ventilation strategies, wearing masks and continuing to follow health advice will help maintain schools as safe places.

Please see below for the specifics related to each year level as currently advised and the COVIDSafe measures that will be in place.

Where possible we recommend that parents use drop off and pick up places around Mt Waverley to reduce congestion in Charles Street. Options such as the Mt Waverley Library and Community Centre carparks with students entering and departing via the Stephensons Road gate will assist in this endeavour.

We look forward to all students and staff returning to school and will continue to provide further detail when it becomes available.

Warm regards

Dr Michelle Cotter
Principal

Australiner Bus Service

Australiner have advised that they will resume running the A1, A2 and A3 buses from Friday 22 October.

For the students wishing to avail themselves of the service, old account balances and invoiced amounts for Term 4 will need to be paid in full. On this basis a boarding pass will be issued to these passengers and to anyone utilising a credit balance carried forward. Letters and itemised accounts will be forwarded to parents in the next few days.

Australiner will be reviewing the number of students utilising the bus routes after the first week and may make some changes depending on patronage.

The Avila Cafe will be open from Friday 22 October. Equipped with eftpos facilities, contactless payment in the cafe is preferred, however cash is still accepted.
COVIDSafe Measures

Face Masks

Students will be required to wear a face mask when travelling to and from school, and on the school campus.
