Do you love the Botanical Garden? Did you know there are over 40 volunteer gardeners that devote their time and energy every week to maintain this oasis and help it flourish?

Our Garden is free admission everyday. If you love this space, please support our UCLA Spark crowdfunding campaign for our volunteer gardener program! You can help by spreading the word on social media and by making a donation of any size. Thank you for your generosity and help! Botany of the Holidays III

Winter holidays are a time for rest, relaxation, family and friends. To a botanist, they are also a case study of the deeply interconnected relationship between nature and culture. Join us as we share the botanical origins of some of the most ubiquitous holiday traditions, and see just how important plants are to the spirit of the season.

UCLA Plant Scientists Ranked Amongst the World’s Most Influential Scientific Researchers

Congratulations to UCLA Faculty Lawren Sack and Nathan Kraft for being recognized for their outstanding contributions to science. "In its annual list, the Web of Science Group, which is a Clarivate Analytics company, names the most highly cited researchers — those whose work was most often referenced by other scientific research papers published from 2008 through 2018 in 21 fields across the sciences and social sciences." Bruin Audubon Society

We would like to thank the Bruin Audubon Society for leading some fantastic birding walks in the Garden during Fall migration this year! This student-run chapter hosts field trips and other great events. Check out the Daily Bruin article about their Garden walks. Special thanks to Samuel Bressler and Andy Kleinhesselink for organizing these!
