Hey SciFly Readers!
I had a super long day helping to update our Speculative Futures and Design Futures Initiative brands across our websites, social media, and other digital properties, creating a new newsletter template to reflect our changes, and helping to write our upcoming issue. Check out our social media to see the new brand in effect! :D
That being said, I'm totally beat and will keep this really short so I can finally get to bed!
I wanted to talk really quickly about an amazing interview I did today with Ben Lowdon from Speculative Futures Berlin on Applied Futures: speculative practice in industry, helping design/product teams do visioning work to open their imagination, and applying those tools to one's own life through a method known as Personal Futures.
The talk won't be up for a while, but in the meantime, I wanted to shout out a wonderful compendium of speculative resources that Ben has been compiling.
Right now it is a collaborative spreadsheet where anyone can submit a method, framework, practice, or resource. You can also check out the list if you need something.
One thing we discussed was how we can help people to get together and try out some of these new methods together, which I think is a wonderful idea, and perhaps a topic for a future Speculative Futures NYC meetup!
Stay tuned, and check out Ben's collection below. If you have a tool or resource to contribute, don't be shy, put it in!
Thanks again for listening and keep reading for great speculative events!
