Nineteenth week after Pentecost

Jesus’ rebuke of the disciples who are fending off the children in today’s gospel should challenge us. What does it mean to receive the kingdom of God as a child does?

Today’s Readings:

Genesis 2:18-24

Hebrews 1:1-4, 2:5-12

Mark 10:13-16

Worship is now in-person and on zoom.

To show love for our neighbours and follow current Alberta Health restrictions for places of worship, we respect these guidelines:

please show no signs of illness

mask wearing is mandatory

physical distancing will be maintained in the church building

a record of your attendance will be kept for two weeks for contact tracing purposes

we strongly encourage only the double vaccinated to attend.

News from the ELCIC & the Alberta Synod

We acknowledge that the land on which we live and worship is at the boundary between Treaty 7, traditional territory of the Blackfoot, which includes the Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, Stoney-Nakoda, and Tsuut’ina nations, and Treaty 4, traditional territory of the Cree, Sioux, and the Saulteaux bands of the Ojibwa people; and the homelands of the Metis nation. We give thanks that their spiritual and practical relationships to this land have given a rich heritage for all who work, live and pray here.
