It is with sadness that I let you know of the death of Garry Schmidt earlier this week.
Because of the current state of COVID restrictions a memorial service will be held at a later date.
As a congregation, we hold Lynne, and their son Darren and his wife, in prayer as they mourn Garry's death in the midst of this difficult time, made even more difficult by the isolation that prevents gathering together.
Let us pray:
God of mercy, your mighty power brings joy out of grief and life out of death. Look with mercy on Lynne, Darren and all who mourn Garry's death. Give them patient faith in times of sorrow. Strengthen them with the knowledge of your love. Comfort them in the midst of isolation. Grant them a sense of your gracious presence, through Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Lord.
