Agreed, but here's the clincher: you have to do it for yourself; no-one can make you do it, i.e. take rest days or stretch or whatever!

Already built in to our training timetable and plan is Friday as a rest day?
This is not to say you must rest or that you must rest on the Friday; of course you can juggle your training days with your rest days...
As I do with my rest day being a Monday; erg and sauna at my local gym Tuesdays and/or Thursdays; Wednesday and Friday mornings, I aim* to get on the water, and come 6:30pm Wednesday, now joining the re-introduced weights sessions.
