Possunt qui posse videntur

Hello <<First Name>>,

British Rowing advice has been updated. Please make sure you are familiar with its contents and that of our club's Risk Assessment. COVID-19 is still a thing. You must clean whatever you touch and keep your distance:
  • Crews of up to 4 are permitted from this Saturday, August 15th. Crews can subdivide into 2x and 2- in any permutation of the four of you, but this four is a unit with no substitutions.
    • If one person in the crew becomes sick then the entire crew MUST stay home until either:
      • a COVID-19 test comes back negative, or
      • in line with Government advice if confirmed positive for COVID-19.
    • You may not be a member of any other 'crew bubble' outside this defined foursome.
    • BR recommends wearing masks on land when carrying the boat if you cannot stay socially distant.
      • Face masks in the boat are discouraged.
    • Take your face masks/coverings home and do not discard at the club.
    • The name - or initials if you know yours are unique - must be written on the booking sheet for each member of the crew. This is a requirement - Seniors and Juniors - as part of being back on the water.
  • If you are on holiday in a country requiring quarantine on your return, you must stay away from the club - no rowing, no coaching, no erging or anything at the club until the quarantine period is over.
  • Current BR advice is that, from August 29th, 'mini-squads' or 'training bubbles' can be increased to up to 9 people - but again please then remain in your groups and do not mix-and-match. This will be confirmed nearer the time, before this change can go ahead.
  • Weybridge RC has not purchased for coxes any PPE as defined by BR advice, so please:

Remember you may now form crews, but you don’t have to!

To take on a challenge of a lifetime - Rowing around the UK!

See how they are getting on...

There are 3 World Records up for grabs for Rowing around the UK:

Women's Crew of Four: 51 days 16 hours 42 minutes
Men's Pair: 41 days 4 hours 38 minutes
