Possunt qui posse videntur

Hello <<First Name>>,

You might be forgiven for thinking all's returned to normal, or close enough, or at least at the Club. Yet nothing much has changed: neither in what we do at the Club, nor in the consideration we ought to have for each other, as well as our wider community.

From what has been observed in recent days, a few of us have become a little, say, too relaxed - so as a reminder or five...

The Club is a place for rowing and safely - both on and off the water - not for socialising.

For us this means...

⭐️ No more than EIGHT* people on the pontoon - in or out - being sure to book your 'out' or boating slot, still at

⭐️ No more than FOUR people in the clubroom using the 4 ergos - as set out here - being sure to book your 'non-boating' slots, still at

⭐️ No more than FOUR using the ergos outside from the Gents' changing room, but only when dry outside and not during peak times for boating and returning crews. All this can and should be marked clearly, still at

⭐️ No more than TWO in each boathouse bay - except if boating in big boats, in which case face coverings are advised - as mentioned previously, here

⭐️ No more than TWO in the Ladies' changing room at any one time or TWO in the Gents' - and to be used just for dropping off or hanging up your kit, not for hanging out - so still applies!

Really, the only recent changes have seen the need to introduce for junior sessions the wearing of face masks on club premises (except when in the boat/exercising) and temperature checks upon arrival. Key also to us being 'Covid-secure' is using the reinstated Junior signup sheet at

For Seniors/Masters, an update shall follow soon on land training sessions. Any queries or suggestions in the meantime can be sent to - or do take a moment to complete the member survey - it’s still open.

*As per Government and British Rowing guidelines, there are to be no group gatherings or socialising greater than six people... except when rowing, boating for rowing or returning from rowing!
