Possunt qui posse videntur
Weybridge Silver Sculls, Saturday 17th October, 2020

Dear <<First Name>>,

Our local borough, Elmbridge, is one of the areas that will be put into 'Tier 2' from Saturday. We are acutely sensitive to the risks of COVID-19 and have put, we believe, robust measures in place to manage these risks:

  • Our event takes place entirely outdoors.
  • We have instructed all clubs in the requirement for:
    • Maintaining social distancing both on and off the water;
    • Mixing in groups of no more than 6;
    • Wearing face-coverings at all times except when in the boat;
    • Cleaning shared equipment;
    • Maintaining good hand hygiene.
  • We are not serving refreshments as we do not believe we can manage the risks of this activity.
The additional measures associated with 'Tier 2' do not affect any area of our event.
  • We are operating with the guidance from British Rowing and thus also from the government Department of Culture, Media and Sport.

Our organising committee is confident in both the measures we have taken to manage the risks associated with the event, and in the rowing community’s ability to comply with these measures.
Silver Sculls will still go ahead.
Kind regards,
Clive Capel
Club Captain
