Knowledge really is power

Gait Analysis with Mika Janhunen M(Chiro), D.C., ICCSP

Group session for members: Tue 18 Sep, 7pm

To analyse your gait is to understand the biomechanics of your foundation, in this case, in rowing: “toes, heels, hips… Toes, heels, hips!”. The data you get from this scan will give real insight (and a real advantage) into how your gait affects your ability to balance and move a boat. Based on this data then, Mika can make individual recommendations on preventing injury and ways to improve your rowing as well as day-to-day movements... And all for just £10 per person.

With thanks to the 200 Club and author Nigel Burton, we have been able to make a limited print run of Weybridge Rowing Club: 1880s - 1980s.

First published in 2011,
Weybridge Rowing Club: 1880 - 1980s, gives an excellent and thoroughly researched account of the Club's history. Dating back as far as early pre-war years, you will then be taken on a journey through the Club's history during the Great War (1914-1918), the start of the Golden Age (1919-1923) and the Olympics of 1924; then move through some turbulent times (1925-1930), the recession and recovery (1931-1939), the Second World War (1939-1945), and post-war to 1959; then the flow and ebb of the 1960s, seeing international honours again in the 1970s, and witnessing an expansion on all fronts through the 1980s

Done the water safety quiz?
If you have not yet done this quiz to show your basic watermanship skills, you won't yet have your Certificate of Competency (or CoC), which is needed to boat on 'Yellow boards' - often the case over Autumn/Winter. If you are doing your Certificate of Watermanship (CoW) as 1x, bow-steer or cox, you will need to complete both parts. Thank you.
Ready to have a CoW?
Run through these checklists to assess your watermanship skills

Not sure if you have a CoW - check here
(Email me with any errors/updates - thanks)
