Dear <<First Name>>,
As you are probably aware for a number of years the 200 Club has organised a Christmas Bottle Draw the proceeds of which have been shared between the 200 Club and an appropriate charity that supported the homeless at Christmas. Club members and parents of our junior members have traditionally been very generous in donating bottles for the draw and then purchasing tickets. Obviously circumstances this year prevent such an initiative, however, unfortunately, the homeless still suffer, indeed with the current coronavirus situation they are facing even greater distress and hardship. Committed as we are to being part of our local community and supporting those who are less fortunate than ourselves, the 200 Club is offering another way in which we can make a decent donation to the chosen charity.
Shown below are pictures of a number of rowing and river related prints/photos which we are going to raffle at our next 200 Club event, which will take place in early December so that the money will reach the charity in time for use in the lead up to Christmas. Of course, until the 2nd December announcement regarding lockdown restrictions we do not know what format any event might take. That said, however, and in the knowledge that we are sure you will wish to show that Weybridge Rowing Club is not an inward looking organisation but a caring community, please find below an application form to purchase tickets for the draw.
Tickets are £1 each and the form with accompanying cheque or cash (paper money most acceptable) should be sent to “Greg” Gregory-Jones, 2 Oatlands Close, Weybridge KT13 9ED to arrive no later than Saturday 12th December. On receipt of your form you will be allocated a number or numbers commensurate with your donation and the number(s) will be entered into the draw for one of the prints. If you are successful we will then contact you to arrange transfer of the print.
Thanking you in advance for your support,
